Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Affairs and Membership Officer to join our Corporate Affairs Team.

The successful candidatewill assist the Corporate Affairs Manager in the design and coordination of all external communications to the Trust Membership including the facilitation of Council of Governors elections annually.

The post holder will support the communications to the Council of Governors, including organising and coordinating training and meetings as required and supporting the administrative arrangements for the Council of Governors' Membership and Engagement Group and Council of Governors meetings as required.

The successful candidate will maintain the declarations of interest web pages; inputting into the design and updating changes when required.
As well as providing advice on declarations and conflicts of interest and the use of the systems, in addition to production of guides for staff which are cascaded Trust wide.

The post holder will have excellent organisational skills and a friendly manner, they will ensure the provision of a comprehensive, confidential, accurate and timely administrative service to managers and team members.

The post holder will assist the Corporate Affairs Manager in the design and coordination of all external communications to the Trust Membership. To assist the Corporate Affairs Manager in the coordination of all internal communications to staff in relation to Trust Membership, liaising closely with the Trust’s Communications Team and with external media organisations whenever appropriate.

To support communications to the Council of Governors, including organising and coordinating training and meetings as required and supporting the administrative arrangements for the Council of Governors
Membership and Engagement Group and Council of Governors meetings as required including collating and circulating papers under the guidance of the Corporate Affairs Manager.

Maintain the membership web pages (following relevant training); including the design, coordination and inputting of material, and updating changes when required.


Lead on the uploading of sensitive staff data to the membership database in line with GDPR guidance. Analysing this information along with public, service user and carer data to determine the representativeness of our constituencies and reporting on the findings to the Board of Directors via the Council of Governors to drive decisions regarding targeted recruitment.
Build on and manage of the Trust’s membership database.


Use the information held on the membership database to circulate details of involvement events in accordance with special interests identified.
Adhere to a Standard Operating Procedure when creating membership emails and provide guidance and training to other members of the team on its use.


Liaise with the communications department to ensure that all appropriate forms of social media are utilised in order to maintain, develop and extend membership and promote people participation.
Deputise for the Corporate Affairs Manager when required.
