Summary
You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents The main purpose of the Salaried GP role is to provide direct clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients registered with CAVHIS. This includes all aspects of urgent and routine presentations with escalation of care and referral on to other services as determined by priority and severity. The postholder will be familiar with legislation and guidance in relation to asylum seekers and have experience in providing services to non- English speakers who are new to the UK, have had little contact with health services in the past who have experienced physical and mental trauma related to persecution, torture, enslavement and loss of loved ones. The person will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team made up of a Clinical Director, a senior nurse, adult and paediatric nurses, health visitor, midwife, service manager, reception/ administration staff and British Red Cross.
