Summary
Are you a Skilled Wireperson with a City & Guilds 2365? Look no further! KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team in Wigan.
Position: Wireperson
Location: Manchester area/Wigan
Hours: Full-time, 36.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7am – 3:30pm; Friday, 7am – 11:30am
Hourly Rate: £17.41 per hour
Our client is currently in the process of moving sites, therefore the role would be in the Manchester area until July before moving to the wigan area.
Travel expenses will be paid up until a maximum of 19.6 miles at £0.45 per mile.
Key tasks and Responsibilities as a Skilled Wireperson:
• Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical engineering drawings Use various types of measuring equipment to ensure work is to the correct standard to drawing.
• Ability to prepare, crimp, terminate and loom complex wiring assemblies.
• Ability to identify and communicate drawing discrepancies to supervision..
• Ability to recognise bad practice and communicate this to supervision.
• Demonstrable ability to meet demanding deadlines
Requirements as a Skilled Wireperson:
• Experience of handling a wide variety of cable sizes – 0.5mm² to 300mm² (but typically 1.0mm² to 16mm²)
• Experience of a wide range of crimping and termination techniques.
Please note candidates must have a City & Guilds 2365 and ONC/BTEC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or City & Guilds 8030.
