Summary
Shift Supervisor
Menzies Distribution has an excellent opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join our team based in Droitwich.
THE DETAILS:
• Shift Pattern: 4On / 4Off 11:00am - 23:00pm or Sunday – Thursday - Shift Pattern to be confirmed
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum dependant on experience
• Location: Droitwich, WR9 0LW
• Ideal start date end of May
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
• Provide on the job training to all staff to ensure they are able to undertake their duties effectively, efficiently and safely and provide direction where necessary
• Plan and control the allocated resources within your team based on volume forecasts
• Actively support and promote culture change within the business
• Promote and participate in active communication within your teams
• Organise and manage the operation to ensure safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness aligned to KPIs, Service Pledge and Company guidelines.
• To ensure that quality standards are maintained while productivity targets are met
• Motivate and develop a team in a continuous improvement environment, coaching and guiding the team, with an involved approach, at all times.
• Ensure all staff have completed the necessary Health & Safety Training to carry out their role safely
• Ensure the warehouse and loading areas are kept clean, tidy and safe at all times to comply with Company Policy and Health & Safety Regulations.
• Ensure safe systems of work are being adhered to at all times
• Highlight and manage any risk assessments required for staff, i.e., returning from an absence, maternity risk assessments, or any new tasks/machinery requiring staff to undergo further training
• Manage and motivate the team to meet customer time-scales and improved productivity
• Provide Hand over Report as required by Management
WHAT YOU NEED:
• Will be required to work shifts
• Physically Fit – standing, walking
• Flexible working in line with peak periods/volume
• Ability to work under pressure and Meeting deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
