Summary

Helena Biosciences is a leading and well established medical diagnostic company, with an international reputation comprising two flagship business divisions that specialise in the design, manufacture and support of Clinical Electrophoresis and Haemostasis systems.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to undertake validation activities relating to gel electrophoresis product development in a timely and efficient manner as directed by the New Product Development Manager and with reference to the appropriate procedures / guidelines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Testing of gel electrophoresis products according to pre-assigned testing and validation protocols, identifying and investigating any detrimental trends via good attention to detail and root cause analysis.

2. Organisation of workload to ensure tasks are completed to schedule.

3. Documentation of all test work according to GMP/GLP standards.

4. Creation of new and update of existing validation protocols in line with updates to international regulations.

5. Creation and maintenance of technical documentation relating to regulatory submissions.

6. Routine maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.

7. To develop, maintain and apply in-depth theoretical electrophoresis knowledge to support routine and novel research and development opportunities.

8. To work in accordance with Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines when handling reagents and chemicals used in automated and manual techniques. Complying with all statutory and site safety regulations.

This vacancy is permanent, full time Monday to Friday (daytime hours) and based at our site in Sunderland.

Salary: Competitive Remuneration Package (negotiable depending upon skills and experience)
