Summary

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Positive Behaviour Support & Autism Support Worker to join our dedicated team based in Caerphilly. In this pivotal role you will assist and encourage individuals to become integrated members of their local community, promoting physical and social participation. For this role you must have a full UK driving license.

Mirus is a not-for-profit charitable organisation, working in partnership with the people we support, their families and other partners, to deliver high quality, person-centred support services for people with a disability. We have been supporting people in Wales for over 35 years and currently support over 350 people in ten different local authority areas.

What will you be doing?

You will develop, implement, and review individual Person-Centred Plans.
You will deliver and review Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support Plans, to enable the individuals you support to lead an independent life.
You will actively encourage their family, friends and circles of support to be involved in their life and provide informal support networks.
You will provide support with a range of tasks which may include household and domestic tasks, shopping, diet/food preparation, personal care, personal hygiene, dressing and personal appearance.
You will work alongside other professionals such as psychologists, care managers, community nurses, positive behaviour practitioners, and occupational therapists to deliver high quality support. 
You will be studying towards your QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care which we will fund.
