Summary

GEM are working with a global automotive organisation to recruit a number of Welders for their high profile facility in Newton Aycliffe. We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in this sector.

Responsibilities:

TIG welding of fabrications on a production line basis.
Meet company targets in volume, quality and cost by following standard operation instructions.
Encourage and contribute to safe working practices in the workplace.
Work to a high standard of 5S.
Adhere to Company rework standards.
Methodical approach to visual weld faults and rectification.
Escalate any weld issues quickly to Zone Leader.
Monitors work environment for hazards and maintains Health & Safety standards.
Ability to work on own initiative and apply a problem-solving approach.
Willingness to follow standards and adhere to customer standards.
Qualifications and Experience:

To be capable of working under minimal supervision with objectives being set by the Zone Leader.
Experience in a high-volume, high-quality manufacturing environment.
MIG Welding experience
TIG Welding experience desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
Be qualified to Grade A Weld standard or be willing to successfully undertake training leading to qualification.
Be qualified or willing to achieve a Level 2 qualification in Fabrication & Weld.
Shifts And Pay Rates:

37.5 Hours. 3 Shift Pattern. Overtime may also be required on occasion.

Standard Hours @£15.45
Back Shifts @£18.54
Night Shift @20.60
