Summary

If you're a Teacher looking for a new opportunity, we would love to hear from you. Protocol Education are looking for a Primary Teacher to work in a Residential School in Chigwell, rated Outstanding by Ofsted! This is to start September, or sooner for the right candidate.

This lovely school cares for children aged between 5- 11 years who have a range of complex needs associated with Social, Emotional,Mental Health (SEMH), who have been disengaged from school and learning. The school pride themselves on offering a warm, homely and happy environment for all.

With small classes of up to ten pupils and a minimum of one teacher and one Higher Level Teaching Assistant in each classroom, the staff introduce and maintain clear classroom boundaries for the pupils. Through providing ability, rather than age, appropriate learning tasks, children can experience success in learning and begin to engage and enjoy learning in school.

Currently all the pupils are boys, and they board with the school Monday- Friday during term time. Students are grouped into 'houses' according to their social needs and abilities and the school pride themselves on having a family feel. Visits to the school are positively encouraged!

The ideal candidate:
- Have QTS or Graduate Teaching Status Qualification
- An understanding of the national curriculum, especially KS1/KS2
- Experience or interest in special educational needs
- Ability to form strong relationships and communicate effectively with pupils and staff
- Committed to development and willing to undergo relevant training
- Good physical health and ability to manage stress

Pay:

Teachers Main pay scale M2 - M6 depending on experience plus SEN Allowance. There is also the possibility of a TLR for candidates with a proven record of leading a core subject across KS2.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
