Summary

Teaching Personnel work closely with a specialist behaviour provision based in Llanishen Cardiff. The head of the provision is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Intervention Support Worker to join their already successful team. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who are experiencing mental health crises and require immediate support. The Intervention Support Worker will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of these pupils by providing emotional support, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate resources.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to individuals experiencing mental health crises and displaying challenging behaviours.
- Conduct assessments to determine the level of support required and develop appropriate behaviour plans
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention to pupils
- Attend team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions as required

Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a related field such as social work, psychology, counselling or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health and crisis intervention work
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong assessment and care planning skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and individually with pupils
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
