Faculty

You will join a truly innovative midwifery team within the School of Allied Health and Midwifery. We offer a range of postgraduate and undergraduate education, including our fully integrated pre-registration BSc and MSc Midwifery programmes based on Problem Based Learning (PBL).

What you will be doing:

You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and experience to design, develop, innovate and deliver clinical and theoretical teaching that supports learning and student attainment.
You will develop and deliver socially inclusive learning opportunities across the midwifery programmes for students from diverse entry pathways. You will also be supported to enhance teaching using theoretically informed methodologies, so that we meet our social mobility pledge and continue to be a university for social inclusion.
Embodying the University’s values of excellence, inclusion, innovation and trust, you will be collegiate and take an active role in building friendly and supportive relationships with staff and students. You will work within a range of teams, such as module teaching teams, supervision and project teams. You will also provide pastoral support and mentoring, particularly in supporting those facing barriers to engaging in university life.
Qualifications/ experience:

NMC Registered Midwife
Bachelor’s degree qualification
Experience of teaching and assessment of students
