The Simulation Technician will be expected to undertake a range of administrative duties which include, but not restricted to, equipment ordering and maintaining the school’s inventory and capital asset register.

You will require versatility, an ability to prioritise tasks and deal with competing agendas, as well as being able to work both independently and within a team. The post will involve moving and handling of equipment.

Responsibilities of this post will include:

•Set up and operate simulation equipment, including mannequins, computer programs, and audiovisual equipment.

•Monitor simulation sessions to ensure safe and effective use of equipment and software.

•Collaborate with faculty and staff to design and develop simulation scenarios and activities.

•Provide technical support to the simulation leads, programme teams and students during simulation-based learning activities.

•Collaboration: The ability to work well with others, including programme teams and students, which are important for developing and delivering effective simulation-based learning activities.

•Continuous learning: Simulation technology and software are constantly evolving, so a desire and willingness to learn new skills and technologies are required for staying up-to-date in this field.

•Creativity: Developing effective simulation scenarios and activities requires a level of creativity and imagination to ensure that the simulations accurately reflect real-world scenarios and provide a meaningful learning experience for students.

•Being part of a small, fast paced team: we work as a united interdisciplinary team.

•Working to your values: we care about how people behave as well as what they achieve.
