The Enfield Pension Team is recruiting for a Senior Pensions Officer to provide a day-to-day admin service in accordance with the Local Government Pension Fund (LGPS) Regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and friendly team to help build upon our high level of service delivery. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic professional with a background in pensions, particularly LGPS who share’s our commitment to provide excellent, professional customer services.
Enfield Council is a modern and rapidly progressing council, and this post is a fantastic opportunity for those who have experience in the pension field to use those skills to help drive the Pension Team forward.
About you, if you can plan and meet deadlines whilst being accurate and working as a team player, are technically literate, able to communicate clearly and simplify sometimes quite complex pensions information, then we would love to hear from you.

We support training opportunities to ensure you have all the tools you need and operate flexible working patterns.
Key responsibilities:

- Calculation of retirement benefits, including redundancy, flexible retirement, ill health.
- Transfer of pension benefits, either to or from the Enfield Pension Fund and including internal aggregation of benefits for members.
- Responding and resolving member queries in a clear, sensitive and timely manner.
- Ensuring continual professional development including awareness of regulation changes.

Candidate requirements:

- Experience working within a finance related role within a local authority or other large public sector organisation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in writing and verbally
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional customer services skills
- Pro-active, able to plan effectively and meet deadlines.
- Team player
