We offer a culturally vibrant environment, welcoming every child as an individual regardless of faith, which fosters community cohesion. By joining our team, you'll help shape learners into model citizens who exemplify Islamic values and make positive contributions to the community.

Commitment to Safeguarding:
Darul Madinah is committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. Our recruitment process reflects this commitment by requiring Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and other employment verifications. This includes verifying qualifications, obtaining references, and conducting interview questions that ensure the highest standards of child safety.

Role Overview:
As a Reception Teacher, you will nurture children aged three to five years, helping them develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills before they start primary school. This role involves creating interactive learning activities, managing daily classroom routines, and fostering a supportive learning environment. Additionally, you will communicate with parents to discuss children's progress and developmental needs.

Supervise children during sessions to ensure their safety indoors and outdoors.
Foster inclusivity and uphold the Islamic ethos within the classroom.
Work with colleagues to manage pupil behaviour and build strong relationships with children, parents, and other stakeholders.
Attend relevant training sessions and adhere to school policies, especially those concerning safeguarding.
Undertake additional duties as required, within the scope of the role.

Essential Requirements:
EYTS or equivalent teaching qualification (including PGCE placements for newly qualified teachers).
Experience in educational settings or volunteering with playgroups.
Degree in childhood studies or early childhood development (minimum GCSE passes in science, English, and maths).
Positive, empathetic, and compassionate attitude.
Organised, self-motivated, and professional approach.

Key Skills:
Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate young children.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Capable of working independently and leading when necessary.
Good sense of humour and perspective.

Benefits:
