We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Cook / Kitchen Assistant who has good cooking skills with the ability to deliver tasty and nourishing meals to residents, visitors and staff.
Working as the Cook / Kitchen Assistant you will support the Chef in preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner meals (depending on which shift you work), using as many local ingredients as possible.
As the Cook / Kitchen Assistant you will need previous experience working within a busy kitchen and have a solid understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Cook / Kitchen Assistant include:
• Prepare and cook a range of dishes according to recipes
• Ensure all food preparation and cooking areas are clean, sanitised, and organised
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
• Follow instructions from the Chef and contribute ideas to enhance kitchen operations
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant, catering or food service establishment
• Solid understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
