Are you interested in working and exploring the opportunities in Logistics supporting the RAF and MOD?
At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services. RAF Brize Norton is the largest operating base within the Royal Air Force, providing air transport and air-to-air refuelling to the RAF fleet.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Logistics team as a Supply Operative for the Clothing Stores. You will play a vital role in the Logistical support of the Royal Air Force, helping to fulfil its operational and peacetime obligations. You will be responsible for the distribution, handling, and stock control of clothing and materials, helping to sustain a modern Whole Force team. You will work alongside Serco and RAF colleagues to achieve the daily operational output within the storage and warehouse areas as well as within an office environment.
Main accountabilities:
- Delivery of excellent customer service
- Frequent use of IT systems to manage emails and stock control
- Storekeeping and day to day management of stock
- Issuing & receipt of goods
What you'll need to do the role:
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be able to achieve SC Security Clearance
- Experience in a Supply Chain or Logistics environment would be an advantage however, training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Must be a team player with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
- Be computer proficient and able to use the inhouse IT systems.
