Summary

The DCTS OT team which is made up 12 OTs including an OT Service Manger is also part of the wider DCTS team which is made up of Social Worker, Support Workers, SCIP workers, Portage workers and short break services. The DCTS OTs will meet and assess children from the age of 0-18. The role involves working as part of a wide multi-disciplinary team that could be made up of colleagues from health, social care, education, housing as well as private sector contractors and equipment providers. A large part of the role involves planning adaptations to children's physical environments at home and in education settings, working alongside surveyors and key workers. The role also involves assessing for and ordering equipment to meet children's needs and allow them to complete activities of daily living either independently or with support.
