We are looking for a Support Worker, an exciting opportunity to work with residents in our Assessment Hub, Newport, Isle of Wight. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, a good communicator, passionate and positive.
Job Summary:
The role is within The Salvation Army 17-bed Assessment Hub, Howard House. You will work collaboratively within the Hub, developing the services’ multi-agency approach and supporting residents to progress on their individual journeys from street to home through the stages of the Isle of Wight Homelessness Pathway.

Key Responsibilities:
The Support Worker role within The Salvation Army is inspirational and key to achieving successful outcomes for our clients. You will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality psychologically and trauma informed programmes of support, promoting client’s strengths, independence and choice. You will address client support needs, enable them to achieve positive life changes and ultimately empower them to lead fulfilling lives.

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

The ability to work well in a team
A positive attitude and a high level of motivation towards supporting clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes
Good verbal and written communication skills
Being solution focused and show good time management skills.
