Summary


A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and organised Doctors’ Assistant to support our dynamic and friendly Junior Doctor team in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Unit at Conquest Hospital.

The Doctors’ Assistant is a key role working alongside the Junior Doctor/Ward team to provide a caring, effective patient experience and to enhance the patient flow through the Trauma & Orthopaedics department. The role combines a range of clinical and administrative competencies.

The post holder will need to complete the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) induction programme, and successfully complete the care certificate, if this is not already held. The postholder will be expected to undertake the Apprenticeship programme for Doctors’ Assistants (which is a Level 3 Apprenticeship usually completed within 18 months alongside work duties). Training will be given to ensure that the successfully candidate achieves their competencies for the designated clinical procedures required from this role.

We are looking for someone with an excellent administration skills set, good interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team, but also on their own initiative, with a sound knowledge of ESHT patient systems and a caring nature.

This role is ideally suited to someone wanting to be part of a diverse, forwarding thinking and adaptable department, providing seamless care to our patients whist facilitating the administration aspects of the patient’s pathway.
