Summary


We have two exciting opportunities for Nursing Associates to join our District Nursing Teams, based in Staffa Team at Tibshelf and North Wingfield Team at Clay Cross hospital.

Staffa Team - 4 days a week

North Wingfield - 3 days a week

Integral to this role is the ability to communicate effectively, with sensitivity and compassion and to provide nursing expertise with patients in our community. Our District Nurses provide extensive support and nursing care to patients in South Hardwick.

Our District Nursing Team is a learning team who share experiences to improve patient care in a balanced and supportive way. We provide an array of services to our local community including many different types of wound care, end of life care, rehabilitation, disease/ medication management to support patients remain in their home.

In addition to this we work very closely with our therapy colleagues and local GP surgeries which provides a varied and interesting role in the community.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
