Summary
We are currently looking to recruit a Maltings Operator for our prestigious drink client who has evolved into the world's third largest leading premium spirits company on a fixed term contract for 6 months.
You will be involved in the production of Distilling Malted Barley to agreed quality standards, whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety & efficiency. Operating as a semi-autonomous team member, across a specific range of malting processes and across a rotating shift environment, taking ownership and responsibility for own, and team/department performance to achieve targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Work towards business KPI's, ensuring you are meeting own and team targets.
* Positively challenge ways of working and utilise ways to seek continuous improvement opportunities
* Optimises utilisation of materials, plant and equipment within your own work area
* Monitors daily production trends, adjusting the program accordingly to ensure targets are achieved (eg OEE, Volume, Yield & Energy) within own work area.
The successful candidate will demonstrate H&S, excellent team working ability, flexibility and good attention to detail. Experience preferred although full training will be given. You will ideally educated to IBD Fundementals of Distilling qualification or equivalent level. Maltings Technology qualification ( from a recognised industry body or commercial malting company is beneficial but not essential.
This is a Fixed Term Role for 6 months and salary per annum is £37,617.33
