Summary
We are seeking a passionate teacher, to work alongside our SENCO, to grow the Resource Base provision during the implementation phase of our journey. This is an exciting opportunity to take a proactive role in shaping the education of the children in our Resource base.
At St. Paul’s, we believe strongly in understanding and valuing the unique strengths of every person who walks through our doors. As a Thrive school, we believe in taking a sensitive approach to meeting the social and emotional needs of the young people in our care. This fits in perfectly with our child-centred approach and highly inclusive practices. We believe in the power of learning outside of the classroom and the value of playtimes. We are proud of our Platinum OPAL award and have a dedicated Forest School area and practitioner.
Why choose us?
Happy, friendly, unique children
An inclusive school where everyone is valued and encouraged to achieve their potential
A supportive culture where you would be welcomed into a friendly and experienced team
Access to continual professional development
A newly adapted indoor and outdoor space in which to teach, with a brand-new sensory room
A supportive governing body
All about the role:
What are we looking for?
A practitioner who sees the unique talents of each child and has high expectations for them
Warmth and compassion
A teacher who takes a curious approach when unpicking how children learn so that they can plan effectively for them
The ability to deliver inspiring, enjoyable and stimulating lessons
A reflective approach and a willingness to engage in CPD and build on existing knowledge
A dedicated and resilient team-player who has the ability to lead the teaching assistants in the setting
A proactive, problem-solver
SEN experience in supporting children with a range of needs, including those with social and communication needs.
