Summary

•casual cover for up to 8 hours per o provide support to a friendly 15-year-old young man with and social interaction. Your role will be to support in developing my self-esteem and, confidence as I can become anxious and worried in new/busy situations. I need encouragement in developing educational and independent life skills.

To facilitate and support in decision making, promoting choice, involvement and control.
•Ensure the individual’s needs are met through planning and reviewing.
• Support the individuals’ participation in social, leisure, educational opportunities with the local community.
• Interact and participate with the individual’s development of self-help skills, supporting to her to reach her potential for independence.
• Provide stimulating opportunities to encourage the individual to develop and express themselves.
• A willingness to travel to support the delivery of the child’s needs
• Monitor food and drinks intake
• When required, to take an active role in leading activities.
• To report any problems/difficulties to mum.
• To maintain confidentiality and to ensure that professional boundaries are observed when working with the individual and his family using the Personal Assistant’s Code of Conduct as a guideline.
• To always ensure the safety of the individual, especially around road and strangers.
• Encourage self-advocacy whenever possible and help the child in her attempts to communicate her wishes and desires.
