Summary

Duties and responsibilities will include the following:


The Floor Manager will work under the directions of the Director in all aspects of the smooth operation of the Restaurant.
Supervise staff and deal with all customer and staff related issues, including assisting staff when required to ensure that customer orders are processed in a timely manner and to monitor food quality and presentation standards consistently.
Review food stock levels with Chefs, and when required -negotiate with food suppliers and placing of orders for the supply of products and check invoices and prices.
Deal with customer queries and complaints and ensure a satisfactory and timely response having regard to customer satisfaction and the need to maintain good customer relationship and business reputation.
Identify staff training needs, train staff and or arrange in house or external training as appropriate.
In line with business policies, assist with any staff disciplinary matters and monitoring of staff right to work, attendance, time keeping, annual leave, sickness leave and all other absences and to keep the Director informed accordingly.
The Front Manager will represent the business in a positive manner and supervise and deal with all aspects of running the restaurant.
The Front Manager will be responsible for business publicity and marketing tasks as required and directed by the Director.

The Floor Manager must fully comply with all Health and Safety regulations and food handling procedures at all times whilst on the business premises.
The Floor Manager will carry out spot checks on a daily basis to ensure health and safety procedures are being complied with.
Experience/Skills/Qualification
No formal academic qualification is required to apply for the position, however, it is essential that applicants have the necessary experience and skills as a Floor Manager in an Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant setting to successfully carry out the duties of the position as detailed above. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of 3 years of previous work experience as a Floor Manager in an Indian/Bangladeshi restaurant.
