Summary
Nursery Manager - Private Children's Day Nursery
Full Time 37hrs per week
Managing 5 staff and responsible for 26 children
Must be qualified, have working knowledge of OFSTED, SEN, Nursery Funding
Education / Skills and Experience:
• NVQ Level 3 or above
• 2-3 years’ experience in current Nursery Manager or Assistant Manager role
• Working knowledge of OFSTED Policies and Procedures
• Understanding of children with SEN and working alongside the relevant outside agencies
• Competent IT Skills eg Word, Excel and PowerPoint programmes
Main Duties:
• Day to Day running of a Private Children’s Day Nursery
• Responsible for 5 members of staff and 26 children
• Management of the nurseries waiting list
• Responsible for entry and securing 2, 3 and 4year old Government funding
• Completing day to day activities relating to the E Y F S
• Responsible for coordination of our child protection policies and management of any related issues
• Report writing and record keeping
• Keeping all nursery policies and procedures up to date, and keeping informed of any changes in legislation
• Conduct staff appraisals
