Summary
Transport staff required for busy Childrens Day Nursery based in Bedwas, Caerphilly.
This post is 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7.00 am - 6.00 pm.
The key duties of the role include
Providing daily transport to nursery and primary school aged children to local schools and nurseries.
Working in conjunction with the Nursery Manager to ensure that school runs are organised in advance and run smoothly on a day to day basis.
Liaising with schools to make sure they are aware of new bookings, days times that parents have confirmed are correct.
In all aspects of work, you should aim to provide the highest standards of care possible for the children. When making decisions, the safety, wellbeing and security of the children in your care have priority at all times.
Liaise with Nursery Manager to make sure all children are booked in and accounted for.
Carry out daily checks on the fuel, and regular checks on the vehicles, making sure that the car seats are correctly fitted, tyres are not worn, windscreen wipers are in good working order as well of the general maintenance for the vehicles.
During periods where transport is not required the successful candidate will be based in the nursery supporting Room Leaders in the care of the children.
The successful candidate should hold a level 2 or 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification, however applications from unqualified candidates will be considered. An Enhanced DBS check is required for the role, the cost of the DBS must be met by the applicant.
