Summary

Design Technology/DT Technician required ASAP, based in Pontypridd

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated DT Technician in an Estyn rated good Secondary school based in Pontypridd. This role is available immediately and has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

About the role:

• Assist the class teacher and students with setting up machinery for product design, engineering, resistant materials, food technology, and art & design
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Show initiative in problem-solving and decision-making

The school is seeking to appoint a strong and experienced DT Technician to support a diverse student body. The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers to assist students with DT techniques, operate machinery, and prepare and set up classrooms for practical activities.

Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

• Engineering
• Metalwork/Woodwork
• Food technology
• Product Design
• Graphics
