Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Barking and Dagenham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and helping students thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Help with classroom management and behaviour support.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials.
- Supervise students during breaks and outdoor activities.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
- Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Relevant teaching assistant qualification (desired but not mandatory).
- Previous experience working with primary school students (desired).
- Understanding of SEN and the ability to support students with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
