Summary
Personal Assistant required for a happy and lively 16-year-old boy who lives in the Liskeard area.
He has Autism and learning difficulties and he would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.
He would like someone to support him with his communication and further develop his life skills. He loves being outdoors.
A personal assistant will enable him to access the local community, on some occasions using public transport and going shopping.
Good rate of pay £12.00 per hour plus agreed local mileage.
Up to 3 hours per week are available, although this is very flexible and additional hours may also be available.
Some weekend and school holiday availability will be required.
Car driver preferred but not essential.
Knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check; this administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
