Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Intermediate Care Pharmacy Team in Oldham.

You will be based at Butler Green Enhanced Intermediate Care Unit, working within our team of pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to support the provision of a Unit-based medicines management service to patients within the Trust. There may be a requirement to support the pharmacy service delivered to Medlock Court, Lees (OL4 3LD) and this can be discussed at interview.

Members of the pharmacy community team across the four care organisations comprising the NCA meet on a regular monthly basis and are working to deliver joint objectives across all IMC services. The post holder will be part of this team and also the wider NCA Pharmacy Team.

You will require an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services, or equivalent community dispensing qualification.

Please note: Training will be provided for NVQ level 2 if not already obtained as this is an essential qualification for the post.

Applicants must be reliable, adaptable to change and have excellent people skills to be able to communicate with a large range of healthcare professionals, patients and their relatives.

The successful applicant will:
• Support the pharmacy team in medicines management around storage, ordering and supplying of medicines on the Unit.
• Support Unit staff in storing medicines appropriately on the Units as per CQC requirements.
• To put medicines away on the Unit in the clinics and to transfer medicines between areas.
• To dispense medication for inpatients.
