Summary

Staffline have a great vacancy for an Engineering Manager for our client based in Wolverhampton.

Our clients Engineering Team are looking to fill the role of Engineering Manager in their Wolverhampton facility.
An Engineering Manager is professional and responsible for planning and coordinating projects, supervising the team, and researching new products in the field of engineering.
The Manager will oversee the development and execution of projects, manages budgets, and supervises team over multiple shifts.
You will collaborate with other management personnel, provide instructions to engineering teams, and ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
You will also conduct research and development for new designs, products, and processes, while maintaining technical accuracy and coordinating work with other managers and staff.

The working hours are 07:30am - 16:00pm, Monday to Friday.
If required by the business the you must be flexible to work additional hours to accommodate the business needs and demands. Weekend working and daily call outs may also be applicable.

As an Engineering manager you will be reliable, and dependable who will bring a team player mindset with the ability to work autonomously as needed.

Your duties will include-
Recruit, train and develop the Engineering departments.
Lead the department to operate safely through RA, SOP, training and develop in accordance with business requirements.
Analise problems, supervise and undertake repair work and after completion check that work has been completed to the required standards.
To be hands-on in the department as and when required in order to fulfil business requirements.
Co-ordination of service and planned maintenance of all machinery on site to ensure the safe working and maximising efficiencies.
Organisation and supervision of all department personnel to maintain agreed standard servicing levels and cover for breakdowns over set timescales.
Management, co-ordination, and supervision of all external contractors in accordance with site policies, audits and legal requirements.
Fault finding and repair of machinery following breakdown on a cover/call out basis with minimum disruption to production.
Create and manage Engineering budgets, both capital and operational.
Supervision and monitoring of capital projects, ensuring smooth deliveries of capital equipment installations.
Working closely with Senior Managers to provide recommendations as to capital equipment expenditure and machinery refurbishment.
Produce timely reports covering OEE and performance of the department and team and integrate as part of the CI data review.

Desirable skills required:

BS in Engineering required. Master's degree or MBA a plus.
Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
Experience using System Applications and Products (SAP) software.
