Summary

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at Longmoor Camp, Liss, Hampshire.

As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.

We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.

You will be required to work flexibly over the course of a 37 hour working week. You will be required to work some weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance.

Main Responsibilities

Range control Duties; Use of warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights

Report and deal with unauthorised persons on the Training Area Estate

Direct, support and advise training estate users both civilian and military

Maintaining the training facilities

Hand over and take back of the Facilities, ensuring they are fit for use

Grounds maintenance

Preventative and Reactive maintenance tasks

Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment such as; ride on mowers, bush cutters (training will be provided)

Driving and operating fleet vehicles

Carry out additional duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work

Work in a diverse multi-tasking team environment

Ability to operate plant and machinery

Knowledge of 2 Way radio communication (desirable)

Prepared to undertake further training

Computer literacy skills with ability to use Microsoft Software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Excellent communicator with people on all levels

Must hold a Full Manual Valid UK driving licence
