Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to join our busy Cardiology Department as a clinical secretary.

The role involves working closely within our secretarial team to provide an efficient administrative service to our cardiology clinicians and their teams. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, flexibility, reliability, must have an organised approach to work and attention to detail are all essential to help support patient flow through the service. Though the job can be challenging at times it is also rewarding.

The role has lots of variety and ad-hoc demands and the post holders must possess excellent time management and planning skills. The position provides the opportunity to work within a very supportive and welcoming team and to further develop existing knowledge and skills. You do not need previous clinical secretarial experience as full training will be given.

The successful candidate will need to deal with patients, clinicians and other staff members, ensuring high levels of customer service and attention to detail. You will have regular interaction with the secretarial management team and the departmental service manager. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate good interpersonal, verbal and written skills and have a "can do" attitude.

You will have a good level of IT literacy as you will be using multiple software packages.

This role will keep you both challenged and busy.
