Adult Therapy Services

(Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Nutrition and Dietetics)

Post –Band 6 Occupational Therapy in Older Persons Therapy (OPT)

Hours –0.6 WTE (22.5 hours per week) 2 bank holiday shifts per year and in the future 1 in 4 weekends.

Based at a small dynamic hospital in the seaside town of Weston-Super-Mare, and only a stones-throw from its two-mile long sandy beach, you will also benefit from being part of a large specialist NHS teaching trust with sites across Bristol and North Somerset.

Our friendly, supportive and proactive OPT team support Weston General Hospitals (WGH) OPT wards – Draycott and Kewstoke. Working closely with the ward and community multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) to provide high quality care for our patients. We are thrilled to launch the recruitment drive for dynamic, proactive, forward thinking therapist to join this team.

We are looking for:
• A highly motivated, proactive and innovative therapist, who is passionate about service delivery, development and improvement.
• A Therapist with strong clinical and developing leadership skills to work closely with the integrated therapy teams, the OPT and community MDT to deliver high quality care to our patients.

Senior clinical and non-clinical support structure is well established with not only the OPT band 7 therapists and the Pathway Lead, but also our fantastic OT and Physio OPT clinical specialists. In service training programmes and staff appraisal systems are in operation to help you develop to meet the demands of the post.
