Summary
The Chef will be part of the museum’s Kitchen and Catering Team that helps create and embed a thriving culture of exceptional customer service and delivery of a quality food and drink offer whilst extending a great welcome for our visitors and working closely with wider museum colleagues to help deliver exceptional experiences for visitors every day. You will be responsible for the production and delivery of quality food from our carefully curated menu whilst adhering to the highest levels of cleanliness, allergen and food hygiene regulations. You will be present in the museum's kitchens and work closely with the wider catering team to ensure efficient communication between teams and a smooth and professional food service to all visitors. Working as part of a team, your work will help put the visitor at the heart of everything we do whilst striving to hit key performance targets.
We are seeking an enthusiastic self-motivated person who is passionate about food service and creating great experiences for our visitors, whilst being creative and meticulous when preparing and sending food. You will be a team player, proactive and confident within a catering setting. Through the medium of food you will help ensure every visitor leaves the museum having had an amazing dining experience.
Whilst the position of chef is not customer facing it is expected that you will uphold and demonstrate the museum’s values and behaviours in your daily work. Duties will be split between the museum’s kitchens on the ground and second floors.
Some weekend and Bank holiday work will be required as well as some evening work for events, previews etc.
