An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CAMHS Crisis & Home Treatment Practitioner within Solar. Solar provides specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for children and young people 0-19 years old in Solihull.

We offer generous supervision arrangements including both peer/individual and support from a vast and varied multi-disciplinary team, we work closely together offering high levels of experience and expertise, within a friendly and professional atmosphere. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated addition to the team who can help us on our journey to offering outstanding care for young people and families within the Solihull Borough.

With exclusive training package through the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families for the CYP Crisis Pathway Workforce.
• The post holder will provide high quality assessment for patients referred into Solar, providing a key role in risk assessment and management, formulation of need, information gathering, and offering advice and guidance to children and young people directly and those who support them (parents/carers, family and professional support networks e.g school nurses, teachers, social workers)
• The post holder will manage a defined caseload and be a care co-ordinator within the service
• The post holder will work with partner agencies (statutory and third sector) to ensure a co-ordinated approach is had to manage the care of children and young people in Solihull
• The post holder will ensure the most relevant care pathway and care plan is devised and where needed provide seamless transition into other Solar teams and practitioners
• The post holder will contribute to a reduction in avoidable presentations to A&E departments
