Summary


This School Nurse post is a great opportunity for personal & professional development. You will develop excellent leadership skills in the role as you will be providing clinical leadership support and professional direction to Band 5 Community Staff Nurses and Band 4 Associate Nurses as they work to achieve competency in a range of skills. As a service we are offering a range of development opportunities at Band 7 as we explore different ways of working, as part of a review of the service, so there are great opportunities for career development.
• To provide clinical leadership support and professional direction.
• Be proactive in the identification of service development in consultation with Team Leads and Heads of Service and participate in developing, monitoring, and evaluating quality standards within the service.
• To support the teams in the assessment, allocation, and response to requests for advice and support.
• Maintain professional standards of record keeping and storage in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) guidelines, Data Protection Act and MFT policies and procedures.
• Recognises the importance of accurate and timely record keeping and can maintain confidential records and information.
• Keeps an accurate and up to date diary on EMIS and follows Trust policy regarding confidential information.
• To liaise with teaching staff as appropriate to ensure an effective communication system.
