The first phase of the castle is due to open late spring/summer which will be an exciting time. Our Director of Agronomy Steve Chappell, and our Golf Course Superintendent David Hay are recruiting a new agronomy team for our newly renovated golf course here in Perthshire due to open 2025.

As Senior Greenkeeper a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified greenkeeper to get involved in the ‘growing in’ of our major course renovation. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the course set up operations. Being hands on and leading by example you will have a keen eye for detail and be integral to the mentoring, training and development of our greenkeeping team.

Working closely and proactively communicating with team members across the wide range of facilities, this is a unique role for those who thrive on people interaction.

Leading a dedicated team an exciting opportunity to be a part of the refurbishment and 'grow in' works. Ideal for an experienced Greenkeeper who wants to progress and is prepared to go the extra mile supporting their team and who enjoy coming to work with a smile ready for another great day!

Responsible for the set-up operations of the course. Directing the team on duty while supervising and supporting the development of junior team members with their knowledge, by sharing your green keeping expertise

Carrying out effective turf maintenance schedules and, programmes maximising the course efficiency. Prepare the course for play - including marking hazards, grounds for repair and ensuring tee markers, bunkers, golf furniture and general green maintenance is carried out to a 5* standard

Be involved in renovation projects and co-manage and conduct the preparation of machines for use while working closely with all landscape team members.

Support with operating and maintaining irrigation systems and drainage systems and manage the control of weeds, pests and disease.

A key role in the golf course management team you will work as directed by our Director of Agronomy and in accordance with the golf course maintenance policy, health and safety policy and the Greenkeepers Code of Conduct.

To be successful you will have a genuine interest and knowledge of the game as well as the desire to learn and develop in your career.

Knowledgeable of all the applicable legislation, regulations, and best practice, including Health and Safety, to ensure compliance; following all legislative guidelines for the preparation, use and disposal of chemicals, the safe use of tools, plant and equipment.

You can maintain a professional and welcoming approach when engaging with members, guests & visitors. As and when required carry out remedial and preventative work around the site to support other areas of the business. A full UK Driving License is essential and the following qualifications would be a distinct advantage.

  • Proficient in Information Communication Technology
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Management, PA1, PA2 and PA6A spraying certificates
  • Certified to operate Chainsaws
