Summary

School: King William Street CE Primary School
Contract Type: - Fixed Term Contract. As this position is linked to a named child, this post is initially fixed term until at least 31 August 2025 but the probability is it will be extended or become permanent. Please note, however, that the contract will end if the child leaves school.
Hours/week: 33.67. The hours of work will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:25am-3:30pm, and Friday 8:25am-1:45pm.
Salary: K7 – £24,313 FTE (pro rata)
Working Pattern: Term-time plus 5 TD days
Start Date: 1 September 2024
King William Street CE Primary School is looking to employ a full-time teaching assistant to work in our year 2 classroom to support a child diagnosed with Autism/ASC. You will be required to support with communication and interaction, cognition and learning, emotional regulation and physical and sensory. We would ideally like someone with experience of working as a teaching assistant in either reception or in KS1 and has some experience of supporting a child with Autism/ASC.
We are looking for someone who:
• has experience of working in EYFS2 or KS1
• has experience of supporting children with SEND particularly ASC/Autism
• is patient and understanding
• has the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and parents
• is able to use their initiative and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
• has a willingness to learn and take on new ideas
• has good team-working capacity
