Summary
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Hygiene Team Leader to be part of a team within the manufacturing industry. You will be managing the team and the hygiene services on a day-to-day basis, responsible for documenting all regimes and implementations.
You will be reporting to the Hygiene Manager.
Duties include:
- Control Hygiene team members at all times to make sure they wear PPE.
- To identify any issues when they arise and report to your Hygiene Manager.
- Report any Food Safety and Health & Safety concerns and ensure the correct forms are complete.
- To achieve a "right first time" clean, following set work instructions and safety
- Carry out daily/weekly/monthly/ad hoc cleaning tasks.
- Take part in daily GMP audits.
- Timely and accurate completion of related documents and records.
- To ensure hygiene operatives cleaning machines are following the correct guidelines.
- To manage and develop hygiene staff on the shift to ensure they are proactive and carry out their job roles in a safe and effective manner.
- Carry out start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report any damages.
- Carry out chemical titration check.
- To organise and control stock issues and generate stock replenishment orders
Essential experience
- Previous hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Supervising a team.
- Level 2 Food Safety.
- Basic knowledge of COSHH.
- Basic BRC understanding.
- Previous knowledge of hygiene practices
- Numerate & literate and able to follow instructions.

Working Monday to Friday 6am - 4pm
45 hours per week
