Job Purpose
As the Mixing room manager you will be responsible for the overall management of production in the Mixing Room across both Dayshift and Nightshift, whilst driving efficiencies & hit performance targets. You will report directly to The Factory Manager. You will report daily on KPIs, GMP’s and contributing to daily management meetings. You will be responsible for monitoring of production to ensure cost effectiveness, ensuring that all mixes are produced on time, in full and are of exceptional quality and calculating and adjusting human and material resources required, to ensure we cost effectively achieve excellent service levels with sustainable productivity.
As the Mixing room manager you will provide direction, leadership, development, and support to direct reports, assist with the motivation & mentoring of personnel to achieve the business goals and review performance & identifying training needs for team.
Working with the wider Finnebrogue team you will implement the company's policies and goals; and ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed. You will develop, promote & support Continuous Improvement & other cross functional initiatives.
Finally you will continually monitor and review product quality in real time in compliance with quality contracts and specs and be responsible for ensuring brand integrity is maintained within their area of responsibility.
What it takesEssential;

Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification (or equivalent)
Production Management / Supervisory experience gained within a FMCG environment
Experience of implementing efficiency improvements
Experience of ensuring quality and safety policies
Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills, including the ability to recognise training and development needs
Excellent understanding of the technical and quality aspects of food production
Evidence of strong organisational, planning and time management abilities
Proven ability to provide solutions and deliver results while working independently and on own initiative
Strong Computer Skills

Desirable;

Level 3 Food Hygiene Qualification (or equivalent)
Health and Safety / First Aid related qualification
Experience within the meat production industry
Experience within the chilled sector
Experience of management and control of short shelf life foods
