An exciting opportunity has arisen for Interim Deputy Head of Nursing and Quality within the Southwark Operational Directorate in the Trust, which includes services across working age adult inpatient, crisis and community pathways.

We would welcome your application if you are a highly motivated, hard-working and reflective nurse, who places nursing at the forefront of high quality, safe and effective practice. The post is an integral member of the Operational Directorate Senior Leadership team, providing operational nursing advice and expertise, leadership and management, ensuring that the registered and unregistered nursing workforce delivers the highest standards of healthcare.

Applicants will be required to have experience of working in a senior nurse leadership and managerial role in a mental health setting. In addition, you will have experience of leading and facilitating change and service improvements within a quality improvement framework, have demonstrable evidence of achievement clinical outcomes. A strong commitment to collaborative working across the multi-professional team, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to use these to influence with a range of stakeholders within and external to the organisation are essential requirements for the role. The post holder will also have a sound understanding of the national nursing agenda and skilled in translating this across the Operational Directorate.

The Deputy Head of Nursing and Quality will have delegated responsibility for the quality of nursing across the Operational Directorate and will work within agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and constraints.
