Summary


Here on C4/F3 we are looking for a Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to work alongside our senior nursing team and help the ward deliver the high quality care our patients expect.

You will be expected to provide solid leadership while working on the ward, helping to maintain a safe environment while setting an example to junior staff through your ability to work to the trusts C.A.R.E values. You will be experienced in leading a shift and be able to demonstrate problem solving skills and an ability to help develop staff skills and competencies.

Full time hours required, with a mixture of days/nights and weekends.
• To support the band 7 in the delivery of a seven day, twenty-four hour service by the team or area that you are responsible for or have been delegated the responsibility, this include High standards of Professional Practice to ensure quality and safety of patient care, experience and the patient journey
• Specialised clinical practice, knowledge, skills and experience.
• Supporting the band 7 in the Productivity and Financial management of a clinical area.
• Leading by example
• Supporting the band 7 in ensuring that clinical services are delivered to a high quality of care and that all compliance requirements such as CQC and contractual requirements are achieved.
• Effective leadership
• To undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients including those with a complex presentation where factors may be conflicting, requiring high level analysis and interpretation skills and the comparison of a range of options to achieve effective treatment or discharge planning check afc.
• To develop clinically reasoned treatment, action and discharge plans and to undertake and evaluate treatment.
• To develop the above skill set with the staff who report to you or for whom you have a responsibility to train.
