Summary

A well-established, growing business that makes the UK’s only fresh pet food is looking for a number of Production Operatives to join the team in Haverhill on a temporary basis. Your pay will be increased after 12 weeks of Service to £11.75 Per Hour!

Joining the production team, you will help to ensure all fresh meals are made to the highest of standards and support pets in living their best life (all 9 of them). You will be a crucial part of the ongoing growth, helping the brand become a market leader in the animal nutrition industry.

As Production Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Working in a safe way following all appropriate safety procedures and wearing protective equipment correctly at all times
• Conducting quality checks ensuring that product specifications are met
• Unpacking, packaging, loading, and unloading (boxes, finished goods, raw materials), monitoring production lines etc.
• Providing ‘Machine watching’ cover for Machine Operator
• Working to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators
• Occasionally attending and contributing at the daily review meeting and regular attendance/contribution at online performance reviews
• General facility hygiene - floors, walls, and conveyors etc. and working in a manner that epitomises clean as you go
• Other general tasks including waste processing and order packing etc.

We are looking for a Production Operative who has the following skills and experience:

• Hard-working & diligent with a hunger to learn
• Previous relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Committed to food quality & safety
• Comfortable working with raw materials such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb
• Flexible, pragmatic, resilient & humble
• Good level of speaking English
• Loves animals (naturally)
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Haverhill.

Working hours:
Candidates will be working Monday to Friday: 06:00-18:00, with overtime paid only if a person works a 6th day, or all hours worked on Bank Holidays.
