Job Description:

Reporting to the LPG Operations Manager, the LPG Officer is responsible for ensuring the Safety of the Kosangas site and it's staff. They will do this by ensuring regular operations and maintenance activities are carried out on a daily basis around the bottle filling shed, tanker bay and boundary fence. This will also be carried out on a weekly and monthly basis on the Kosangas site, in accordance with the safe systems or work and Pirana work orders. We also work to the UK Code of Practice.

Staff management is critical to the role as well as Vehicle scheduling and maintenance and arrange all staff training.

LPG ship off loading and Road tanker filling are carried out safely.

The daily duties are as follows:

Ensure own safety and resources and all Plant equipment maintained daily.

Site main controller on a lower tier site

Maintain a continuous gas supply to LPG to the filling facilities at Kosangas St Johns

Plan, deliver and monitor agreed levels of operational performance and maintenance of equipment. And Vehicles on site

Ensure that appropriate processes are in place to ensure valued delivery of the defined outcomes and that the processes are challenged to ensure that the value is maintained throughout the process

Provide the required technical support for operational activities as scheduled in (Pirana) and where required within other areas of the business.

Ensure safe working practises of all Operational staff drivers etc.

Provide inspirational leadership and management to the LPG Drivers and provide Training to all staff.

Demonstrate effective budget control and take Project lead on all Capex Projects from implementation to completion.

Produce the necessary reports for management e.g. on Staff performance and productivity, and Daily output figures for Kosangas

Arrange all Vehicle Servicing and Safety insurance checks for the Kosangas Fleet.

Plan all work for the Vehicles, Cylinders, Co2,LPG Tankers

Plan and maintain all Mini bulk tanks on the island and do annual audits.

The officer must support ship discharging.

Take part in a 1 in 4duty rota (on call) Kosangas and La Collette plant.

Minimum Requirements:

IOSH in Health and Safety or Nebosh in Process Safety Management

Train the Trainer in health and Safety or in Manual Handling

Desirable skillset:

• LGV 1 Driving License

• ADR Dangerous Goods License

• Confined Space training

• Experience reading pipelining and instrument diagrams

• Any transport experience - preferably a National UK or International CPC or equivalent

• Mechanical or Engineering skills
