Summary
Have a wide knowledge base of common surgical presentations Ability to undertake thorough patient history Competence in clinical examinations Have a thorough understanding of relevant diagnostics Knowledge of investigation interpretation, such as blood, x rays and ECGs Keep up to date with best clinical practice Safely prescribe treatments in line with national and local guidance and formularies Prepare accurate and concise reports Assist with the management of Trainee ACPs within General Surgery Support junior clinicians to plan and manage episodes of patient care Act as a role model for junior clinicians Practice in an autonomous, professional and self-directed manner Partake in audit and research, attending clinical audit sessions as necessary Partake in learning and educational opportunities in order to meet specific learning requirements
