As a Chef / Grill Chef you will work alongside our team of talented and dynamic experts as they work to provide exceptional solutions to the many challenges our business and clients face. We enable you to use your inquisitive nature, and business acumen to be a crucial part of the technical and commercial success of the business.

Requirements:

- Understanding of cooking

- Excellent knowledge of food production

- Proficient with instructing

- Solid understanding of inventory management

- Understanding principles of food safety

- Good knowledge of food preparation

- Experience with food quality

- Solid grasp of stock control

Main responsibilities
The Bellflower in Garstang is a popular pub for food, drinks and entertainment.

Over the last few years we have turned the Bellflower into a destination pub for food with an extended our menu.

Now, we’re on the lookout for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen team and grow with our business.

Our ideal Head Chef:
Great food keeps our guests coming back time and time again but it’s our Head Chefs that inspire the team to give it their all in the kitchen. A motivator, a leader and a collaborator who can work with the General Manager to make our pub a great place to work and a truly special place to visit for every customer we serve.

What we need from you:
• Experience in a similar Kitchen Manager or Head Chef role or ready to step up from Second Chef/ Sous Chef position
• A passion for producing food to be proud of
• A motivational team-leader who can make sure our food and hygiene standards are consistently high
• Clear communication with your team
• Ability to work collaboratively with the General Manager to ensure success of the business
• A positive attitude and ability to create a buzz in your kitchen to keep your team motivated
• A desire to develop and retain their kitchen team.
