We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Team leader to work with a range of Mitie clients to manage a cleaning team, including recruitment and development of staff and maintain excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer.

You will be responsible for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning. You will ensure that the cleaning staff understand and work to task schedules while following the correct Health & Safety procedures by providing technical training as and when required. You will distribute uniforms, monitor standard of cleanliness and the use of materials and order stocks as necessary. You will deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to line manager where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory and cleaning experience. They will have good communication skills, be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude and they will be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative.

-· To undertake cleaning tasks to deliver the cleaning specification and Service Level agreement to a high standard and to the KPI set by the client.

· To abide by the Company's Health, Safety and Quality procedures.

· To develop a positive and profestional relationship with the client to ensure client satisfaction.



Main duties

· To ensure the cleaning area and cupboard meets the requirements of the what good looks like procedure.

· To ensure cleaning equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order, i.e. PAT Tested, etc.

· To have a full knowledge and understanding of the cleaning specification, including cleaning tasks, frequencies and what good looks like to deliver the standards required.

· To maintain the designated areas to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevant SLA's, carrying out all daily, weekly and periodic tasks as directed by your Line Manager.

· To have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used within the premises and to attend all necessary training to be enable to fulfil this requirement.

· To comply with the requirements of Health & Safety, other relevant legislation and premises policies.

· To ensure all weekly documents are completed on site in line with Mitie policies.

· To use the In touch or ezitracker pining in and out system to verify attendance.

· To understand how to use on site machinary and carry out maintenance tasks to ensure the machinary is kept in good working condition.

· To be aware of material expenditure and avoid unnecessary waste.

· To report any maintenance defects to your line manager.

· To understand and observe Mitie's and Client site rules at all times.

· To ensure that a high standard of personal hygiene is maintained and the personal hygiene and uniform policy is abided by.

· To observe all Company and Client statutory fire and safety regulations and to promote good safety habits and methods of work.

· To deal with any complaints that fall within the job holder's duties and report these immediately to your line manager.

· Submit a monthly request for replacement materials and equipment if required to your line manager.

· Demonstrate a commitment to work within the MITIE Core Values and conduct themselves inline with Mitie's Code of Conduct.

· To attend and fully participate in training courses.

· To perform miscellaneous cleaning duties as instructed by your line manager.

· To undertake any other related duties which are within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business and as directed by the Line Manager.



Person Specification

-Basic written and verbal English to understand Health and Safety practices and communicate effectively with the client and request additional duties.
