Summary

Join the Team as a Light Vehicle Level 3 Apprentice!

Are you enthusiastic and eager to delve deeper into automotive mechanics? We are searching for a dedicated individual to join BCA as a Light Vehicle Level 3 Apprentice. This role offers the opportunity to receive expert training, gain hands-on experience, and master the skills required to become a proficient automotive technician.

The training you will receive:


On the job training from a mentor at your employed site.
You will be trained on all the required skills to pass your apprenticeship. In the Light Vehicle Level 3 apprenticeship this will likely be the following:



Repairing a variety of light vehicles, including performing complex mechanical and electrical repairs.
Oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
Completing repairs to braking systems.
Basic diagnostics.
Removing and fitting wheel and tyres.
Preparation of vehicles for MOT inspection.
Customer service.
Servicing.
Routine maintenance
Inspection of Electric and hybrid vehicles against a set criteria



You will also receive off the job training from a training provider.


What you will be doing day to day:


To work under supervision and assist experienced technicians in performing routine maintenance tasks.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to uphold quality and safety standards in line with Health and Safety legislation.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Assisting with all workshop duties as requested by your mentor and line manager.
Gaining experience and additional on the job training hours from your mentor.


Requirements:


Eligible to work within the UK
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced professionals
Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication are essential for working with mentors and team members
Great time management skills
Proactively takes on responsibilities and seeks opportunities to contribute to team members


Desirable:


Have a full UK driving license (you will be required to travel to a provider for your apprenticeship learning)
Level 4 or above in Maths and English. (If you do not possess a Level 4 or higher qualification in both Mathematics and English, or Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills, dependant on the apprenticeship provider chosen for the apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity to attain Functional Skills Level 1 & 2 in Mathematics and English throughout the apprenticeship).
