Summary


To have responsibility for effectively leading Community First Responders, and Public Access Defib (PAD) sites operation within a designated geographical area (including training of staff, provision of equipment), achieving national performance standards and ensuring the highest quality of clinical care and patient satisfaction.

The Community Response Manager works as part of a wider team supporting the volunteer and community agenda, in partnership with local health and social care colleagues, as well as business and community leaders. Leading, managing and supporting volunteers and the community agenda.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide support to the delivery of the volunteer agenda within Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire supporting patient care, community education and partnership working.

The successful candidate will have good communication and organisational skills, and be able to work on their own initiative and be flexible to deliver the Community Partnership Team agenda, supporting both volunteer activity and partnership working with external agencies in the delivery of patient care across the region.

Working within EEAST provides you with a supportive environment, where you can make a difference to patients, through the service and provision that you support, and also support the well being of volunteers and communities.

Overall leadership, management and support of volunteers, ensuring governance, training and well being is provided for all volunteers.

Support community health initiatives and health provision such as AEDs, community education.

Engage and develop relationships within local health and social care, business, community organisations and education setting.

Support the wider volunteer development and regional initiatives as part of the wider team of volunteer managers.
