Teaching Assistant | Birmingham, WV6| £95- £105 per day | Long Term - Permanent
LTF Recruitment are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to begin working full time in a warm and welcoming primary school located in the Wolverhampton, WV6 area. The successful candidate will work in a mainstream school, ensuring that students with special educational needs are effectively supported. Our inclusive partner primary school aims to provide equal opportunities for all students, working to remove barriers to learning and development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs
- Work collaboratively to provide appropriate support to students with consideration of their individual needs
- Be confident to work on a 1-1 or small group basis with students, delivering targeted interventions
- Establish positive relationships within the setting, with students, colleagues and parents
- Ensure that students are engaging with learning to the best of their ability
- Effectively manage classroom behaviours, using positive reinforcement and rewards
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification / degree is desirable
- Experience of working with children or young people with special educational needs
- An Enhanced DBS and 2 references are a requirement for this role
- Have a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs
